A 51-year-old Arab woman was sentenced to three months in jail for assaulting an on-duty police officer after he gave her with a traffic fine following a violation.
According to police records, the accused charged at him aggressively, argued with him and intimidated the officer with dire consequences.
The cop requested the woman to approach the police station if she had an objection against the fine imposed on her.
The officer filed a report about the incident and sent it over to senior authorities.
A witness, who was also an officer with Ajman Police, told the court that the woman yelled at the officer, pushed and threatened him after he issued her the fine. He said she barged into the police station and shouted at the officers. While the complainant was filing the case online on his computer, she tried to damage the device and asked him to stop immediately.
The accused woman later admitted to her act in the court, claiming that the officer always issued her fines for no reason at all.
