Many people in Germany have what they refer to as "mini-jobs" those being a occupation that only requires them for 1-3 days a week, something similar to part time jobs, and one of those jobs are the ferries at the "Ferry Bad Munster Am Stein"

The ferrymen were not affected by the lockdown brought upon them due to the covid-19 pandemic because they have their main professions and jobs that were secured, but to those potential customers it was, since the lockdown had taken place during the prime season to take a ferry ride.

This particular ferry is the only hand-drawn ferry in southern Germany is located directly on the Nahe promenade at the spa gardens.  From Easter to the beginning of November it connects Bad Münster with the Huttental , from where a hiking trail leads to the Rheingrafenstein or the hiking trail to the Kuhberg to Bad Kreuznach.

The passenger ferry on the Nahe is not only a rarity, but also a piece of traffic history , as it was mentioned as early as 1721.
