UK --The collision threw her father-in-law onto her bonnet and smashed her windscreen.

Abedin, who repeatedly lied to try to cover-up her involvement in the crash, has now been jailed for 18 months.

Despite suffering a fractured pelvis, her father-in-law appeared in court to support Abedin and stand by her< the Sun published.

The pharmacy assistant had not stopped to help him and instead kept on driving - leading to a police appeal to find the person responsible.

She even had her broken windscreen repaired before police had a chance to examine it in an attempt to cover up the crime.

Abedin eventually pleaded guilty to two offences - causing serious injury by dangerous driving and perverting the course of justice.

She was arrested and interviewed 11 days after the crash.
